The FIFTH rule of performin' is thatYOU NEED TA SHOW YOU'RE ENJOYING YOURSELF! This is the last way to "get into it". When the crowd sees that ya enjoyin' yaself it will make them enjoy the whole experience more. Think about it. When you see a MC gettin' inta it and havin' a good time up on stage it gets ya pumped up and excited about the song and the whole show. If you see an MC havin' a hard time up on stage (they look like they're bored, or nervous, or havin problems performin' a song), then ya won't get inta the song. You'll go away thinkin' that the show was weak no matter how tight or nice the lyrics were. Now if ya song has an angry or sad theme ya obviously don't wanna be up there smilin', but ya STILL wanna look like ya relaxed and enjoyin' bein up there spittin' that rhyme! Whenever a performance of mine has gone good it's cause I was followin' some or all of these rules. Whenever my performin' was weak it was usually because I didn't follow these rules. Hints: -YOU need ta show ya enjoyin' yaself BEFORE ya even see the crowd get inta it. DON'T wait for them ta get inta it! -Even if ya nervous or the crowd doesn't seem ta be gettin' inta it, ya still need try ta relax and have a good time! Real excitment or joy from you is more powerful, then you just pretendin' that ya enjoyin' yaself! -Even though real joy is better then fakin' it. It's better to fake it, then not look like ya enjoyin yaself at all! (Just don't be corny!) -Check ya videos of you performin' and see when ya look like you were enjoyin' yaself the most. Try ta remember what helped ya to enjoy yaself the most durin' those times and do it again! Let me leave ya with some last advice about these rules ta performin'. 1. Everyone has a bad show--even the pros! So don't trip off it too much! Just learn and move on! 2. Some people are natural performers and some aren't, but every one can improve their skills! You can get good if ya practice and learn from ya mistakes! 3. Performin' is at least 50% of what makes a good MC. If ya wanna be the best then ya better learn how ta perform!
