Review:
As I sit here writin' this review, I have mixed feelin's on it. Ya see, I've always had much love and respect for the Gospel Gangstaz (and I still do!). I've always thought they had the skills ta take Holy Hip-Hop ta new areas--reach new listeners (and I still do!), but somethin' seems different ta me about their latest album "I Can See Clearly Now". Somethin' seems missin' or somethin' seems added--I can't decide which! Don't get me wrong. The albums real nice. It's got tight production, tight lyrics, and good hooks. (They got one track "I'll Be Good" produced by Secular Hip-Hop producers the Trackmasters!!!) This album will probably help them to reach more headz, both christian and non, than ever before, but I just don't think it's an album that as good as their first. One reason I feel this way is that I feel like they're tryin' ta throw the High Rolla/Big Balla image way too much. With lines like "...lacin' hot tracks for my zeros..." (I Can See Clearly Now"), "My whole purpose is bein' right and makin' cheese..." (I Call Your Name), "Tryin' to make some millas what can I say to make you feel us..." they repeadly talk on this theme. It might make the secular headz relate ta them a little more, but I don't think it fits with what Christians and Christianity are really all about. The only other thing that I feel held this album back from me givin' it a "4" ratin' was that I felt it leaned a little too much towards the mainstream side of Hip-Hop. But this album is still a good album. They address some important issues in songs like "Questions". They got some tight lyrics in songs like "One Way". Check this line, "I attack like the locust/ I'm the loc-ist/Hit the studio, no hocus pocus/ I'm the dopest /or livest/ my game spread the widest/ We riders/ underworld soul survivors/ Very dangerous if you try this/no way you can get caught by us/" They also got some other tight songs on this album (on a couple songs they almost got a Tupac or E-40 sound). I'm glad I got the album and if you inta that West Coast sound than you'll be glad too. The Gangstaz have been through some crazy drama since they left their last label. I'm really just glad ta see that they survived it all and can still come with hits for the new millenium! They definitely hooked up with the right label. I'm just hopin' that the next album comes with even more of that OGG sound and content that hooked us all on them when they first dropped!

Review:
"I loved #3 "Set Up", because he tells it like it is and doesnt sugar coat his life before Jesus entered it. #6 "Da Real 1'z", and #7 "Fear God", are also tight. #10 "The End Is Near" is probably my favorite track on the album. Just awesome. the beats and music could have been better, but still a phat album. I gave it a "4", because he has alot of his choruses singing, maybe like 5 of the 10 tracks. There is nothing wrong with it, I just personally dont like singing in rap songs. I still felt it deserved a 4. It is better than his first album, "The Last Saint". "The Last Saint" in my opinion had too much singing in it, this one has some, but not nearly as much. 'The end is near / so u best beware / ain't got no time to be lukewarm, might u get left here / this one goes to you sinner's and you slanger's and you banger's / and beware get prepared for the devil and his angels - the end is near.' Review:
"I loved all the tracks, but especially #6 "Human Superstar", #9 "Spare Rituals", #10 "Off The Hook", #12 "Just 4 You", #15 "The Way", #16 "He Brought Me Back", #17 "Think On TheseThings", #18 "Cypha' Tha Next Day", and #19 "Word Up". The beats are tight, they have a real east coast flava, i love it! On a scale from one to 5 I give it a 10, all that and a bag of chips, a bus pass, and a big ole' pepsi on the side with 4 or 5 candy bars and a large buttery popcorn! I would say that their new cd, "House of Representatives", is better than their first cd, "Heavens Mentality". It is hard to improve on such a great album such as "Heavens Mentality, but they did it with house of reps! GO BUY IT!!!!! ITS OFF THE HOOK!!!!! EVEN IF U DONT LIKE CHRISTIAN RAP, U WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!! THE PHATEST ALBUM ON THE PLANET!!!!!"

Review=

I liked all of the songs, because they were all bangin'! What I like most about LA Symphony is the originality in the beats and lyrics. I like the different styles within the crew and how they deliver. All of this and they still represent Christ! There really is nothing I dislike about LA Symphony. The reason I gave it a 5 is because it really is all that, a bag a chips, a bus pass, AND A BOWL OF GRITS. (By the way, I like Grits too. Their music is bangin'!) This was the first CD I heard from them as a whole crew. I have heard different artists in the group previously on their own CDs. Those were phat too. If you don't have LA Symphony, get it!!!!!

Review:
"Imagine the Wu Tang Clan got saved and is now spittin' hits for Jesus! That's what you get on the new CD "House of Representatives" from the group Cross Movement. These brothers are comin' with the skills that Holy Hip-Hop has been waitin' for! The Cross Movement is definitely up there with groups like Wu Tang Clan, but they ain't some wannabe, tryin' ta be, copycat group. They're just bringin' some real Hip-Hop tracks that got saved! They're one of the few Holy Hip-Hop groups that could make it in the secular market. The Cross Movement is made up of 7 MC's that represent one superhuman group. They are: Phanatik, The Ambassador, The Tonic & Earth Quake (who make up the group "The Gift"), Cruz Cordero, Enoch, and the real track Rzarector/MC T.R.U. L.I.F.E. On this LP the group manifests as one entity like Voltron and also transforms on other tracks to represent as individual forces or as a duo. They come straight out the box like you only dreamed a Holy Hip-Hop crew would with the title track "House of Representatives" . Check this line from Tonic "Ain't no stoppin' us/ cause what be comin' out of our esophagus/ will knock dust off a livin' sarcophagus./ Dead men walkin'/ stalkin'/ in the darkness hawkin'/ lookin' for those home alone like Macaulay Culkin. " Tru-Life produced a lot of the tracks on this joint, but The Ambassador and Earth Quake also come with some real nice tracks! If ya give this LP a good listen you'll not only find ya head bobbin', but ya heart throbbin', cause this group comes with spiritual and lyrical deepness! Even the interludes will educate ya! (Check "Know ya God") Other tracks that stand out are "The Way" and "Think on the Things", but every track on this LP is tight! The only reason I didn't give it a "5" is cause I thought that some of the choruses in the songs weren't that creative. (I feel the same way about some of the Wu's songs, so it's just my own personal taste!) But this is definitely an album that any true Hip-Hop lover (Christian or not) should get! You can get it RIGHT NOW at Musicforce (link below)!
You can also get it from their label's web site. (Check our links page!) Their site is real cool, so you should check it out!"
